Carolyn Beal is a Solicitor (non-practising) and Law Society accredited Lexcel Consultant with over 15 years' experience of legal regulatory compliance and over 13 years' experience of Lexcel. Her previous roles as practising Solicitor, Partner and COLP at a commercial law firm in the North East of England allow Carolyn to fully understand the demands and concerns that come with running a successful law firm and the need for practical solutions.

In November 2025, Carolyn was invited to be a co-host of the Legal Compliance Collective, a group for legal compliance professionals with weekly online presentations on the variety of compliance and regulatory issues facing the profession. The group also holds regular in-person 'UnConferences' where compliance professionals can get together and share ideas and experiences.
